2014 Audi A4 Allroad – MSRP is $40,700 for this premium station wagon with all-wheel-drive so you can generally get one off the lot for under $40K. 2014 BMW 320i xDrive – Another all-wheel-drive sedan, the BMW 320i xDrive, has an MSRP of $34,750 and if you want a bit more power you can pick up the 328i for just about $5,000 more. This is a car that is well known for being fun to drive and offered with a number of different trim packages and options so you can get exactly what you want.

2014 Buick LaCrosse – Sticking with the AWD theme, the mid-size Buick LaCrosse offers attractive styling and performance with a 303-hp 3.6L V6 in the Premium I model, which starts with an MSRP of $40,285. 2014 Cadillac ATS – Although you can get the Cadillac ATS with AWD, the RWD model was built to handle like a world-class sports sedan. The  2.0L I4 RWD Luxury model has a 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo making 272 horsepower and an MSRP of $39,095. 2014 Chrysler 300 – The Chrysler 300C has an MSRP of $37,395 for RWD and $39,195 for AWD. This large passenger car offers performance and luxury typically found only in cars at a higher price point including SmartBeam headlights, rain-sensitive wipers, Garmin navigation, heated rear seats, heated and cooled cup-holders, wood trim and power adjustable pedals.  A V8 engine is also available as well as a track-ready SRT8 model but you won’t get those for under $40K.

2014 Hyundai Genesis – MSRP on the Genesis is $35,200 for the 3.8L V6 version with 333 hp so you can afford to add some extras like the 3.8 Technology package with a 17 speaker premium sound system, Bluetooth, Xenon adaptive headlights, smart cruise control, heated rear seats and cooled driver’s seat. The Genesis is on par in terms of luxury with models that start well above $40K.

2014 Infiniti Q50 – The Q50 is the reinvented G37 sports sedan. The rear-wheel-drive Premium model has an MSRP of $40,000 and a 3.7L V6 with continuously variable valve timing and 328 hp. The Premium trim includes  a power tinted moonroof with one-touch open/close functionality, heated front seats, an auto-dimming rearview mirror with HomeLink, and a 14-speaker Bose audio system as well as a host of standard features from the base model.
