We are almost halfway through another year and when it comes to automobiles, the 2018 models will be arriving in local dealerships anytime within the next two to three months. That means dealers will be very anxious to make deals on any 2017 models they have on hand and it also means there are some really cool vehicles to look forward to.

Here are 6 2018 model year autos to wait for:

2018 Alfa Romeo Stelvio – Alfa Romeo has been making a major push back into the U.S. market over the past few years and the Stelvio SUV is a high performance crossover intended to compete with Porsche, BMW, and Jaguar in a crowded space. A starting price of just under $42K and a base engine with 280-hp is a pretty good start. The Quadrifoglio kicks it up with a 2.9L twin-turbo V6 putting out 505-hp with a promise of 0 to 60 in just 3.9 seconds.

2018 Tesla Model 3 – This model already has over 100K customers that pre-ordered the car as soon as it was officially launched. The all-electric sedan is expected to have a range of 215 miles on a single charge and Tesla Autopilot feature as standard. The starting price of $35,000 before tax incentives should excite most people. It might be the most anticipated car in several years.

2018 Kia Stinger – We wrote about the Stinger in our coverage of the Detroit Auto Show and it is almost here. The Stinger is a fastback sports sedan available in rear-wheel or all-wheel-drive with up to 360-hp from a twin-turbo V6, luxury appointments and performance to rival European luxury.

2018 BMW X7 – The X5 is already a top-selling luxury 7-seat crossover SUV with performance handling capabilities but it isn’t as spacious as some passengers might prefer. The new X7 is expected to be much more spacious and offer better cargo capacity with the same “ultimate driving experience”.

2018 Ford Expedition Max and Lincoln Navigator – Proving that full-size SUVs aren’t dead, Ford Motor Company is finally giving the Navigator and the Expedition makeovers and losing a ton of weight by moving to aluminum body construction to improve fuel economy. Both vehicles will also be more spacious with added luxury features and technology.

2018 Toyota Camry – Toyota is giving the Camry an all-new 2.5L four cylinder engine for 2018 and has redesigned the exterior giving it an edgier appearance inside and out. Automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and automatic high beams are all part of the Toyota Safety Sense suite, which wil be standard for all models.

While we don’t have these models listed on AutoBuying101.com yet we will and better yet, you can shop for new vehicles that are on the lots today and compare dealer quotes, get pricing and specs, and find the best deal for your next auto. Unless of course you want to wait for the 2018s, which could be a long wait for some of these models.
