Ciao! Fiat Returns To America

2012 Fiat 500Fiat Returns To America with the 2012 Fiat 500

The resurgence of micro-compact cars in the US has brought about some outstanding benefits for consumers and car fanatics alike.

For consumers, great looking cars that get great gas mileage and are much easier on the wallet are the primary boon.

For car lovers though, innovation and product has been the prize.

Case in point is the return of Fiat to our shores.  After 28 years being MIA in the US, the Italian brand has returned with a vengeance, giving Big Three partner Chrysler a huge shot in the arm.  The first result was the all-new Fiat 500.  The model has a nearly 55-year history, with the current model having been introduced in Europe in 2007.

Being retailed though Fiat-branded Chrysler dealerships nationwide, and through new stand alone Fiat dealerships, the car has been receiving buzz since it made its major auto show debut at the North American International Auto Show (Detroit) in January 2010.

The new model, available now, ranges from $15,500 to $21,500 and gets between 3-40 MPG.  You can take a closer look at the 2012 Fiat 500 in the Auto Research section of our site.
